The Bennington County Choral Society is offering two concerts of big, bold choral works from France, England and the United States for its 2015-16 season.

We’re presenting our fall program on December 5, 6, with a third concert in Putney, VT on December 12. We’re calling it “Music of the French Cathedrals.” It will feature the much-loved Requiem by Gabriel Fauré, and the Gloria by Francis Poulenc.

Rehearsals begin on Monday, September 14, at 7 pm, at Second Congregational Church, Hillside Street, in Bennington. (Please arrive early to allow time for registration.)

Our spring program will be presented on two dates: May 14 and 15, 2016. Entitled “Cries of War, Hopes for Peace,” this program includes Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem.

Rehearsals for the spring concerts are scheduled to begin on Monday, February 1, at 7 pm, at Second Congregational Church.

It costs $35 per program to join the choral society — $60 to sing in both the fall and spring programs. For more details on who we are and what we do, please check the other information found on this website.
